A Calculated Whisk by Victoria Hamilton

"This latest read in the Vintage Kitchen Mysteries series, finds Jaymie Leighton again feeling like she needs to investigate. I found this story a little too complicated as it weaves together the characters lives going back to their high school days with current events. Sometimes I was distracted from the plot trying to remember who was who from 20 years ago." - F. Schwarz

A Margin for Murder by Lauren Elliott

"Book #5 in the Beyond the Page series, owner Addie Greyborne travels to neighboring town of Pine Hollow for a book sale and trouble follows. Not the best book in the series but lots of life-changes for the residents of Greyborne Harbor. If your a fan of this series I feel like this book is a bridge to the net book rather than a good story" - F. Schwarz

The Boardwalk Bookshop by Susan Mallery

"A departure from the books I usually read but in keeping of this summers theme of beach and seaside settings. This book explores the developing friendship between three women who decide to share a retail retail space on the beach. The story is one of home the challenge and support each other even though they are in completely different places in their personal lives. Well written and it invites the reader to look at relationships in different stages from brand new, after divorce or widowed." - F. Schwarz

The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult

"The book is composed of 8 long chapters telling the story of Trixie, a young teen who claims she’s been raped by her ex-boyfriend. As the story unfolds, the reader learns that Trixie has told various lies, which creates suspense. Other serious topics addressed in this book include suicide, violence, and infidelity. The story held my interest. I skipped the comic pages that were added to each chapter because I don’t enjoy reading that format." - D. Zelamsky

Corfu Capers by Joy Skye

"Kate organizes a trip to Corfu as the perfect setting for her son, Scott, to propose to his girlfriend, Linda. Linda’s best friend, Charlotte, and Scott’s best friend, Marc, are also invited. Kate micromanages every detail and moment of the trip, much to the chagrin of Linda. Kate’s annoying assertiveness and Scott’s inability to be assertive threaten to ruin the trip, but the charm of the people and life ways of Corfu work their magic and lives are forever changed. Charming setting and interesting characters make for a delightful read." - E. Pasquali

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman

"This is the story of a young woman who is a self proclaimed introvert who prefers to sit home alone and read than to interact with other people. Verity by Colleen Hoover

"This book was a thriller from left field from an author who typically writes romance. With that said, it was seamlessly written and the plot moved quickly. I finished reading within hours. The ending leaves you still questioning who is the villain which makes the book so intriguing." - A. Green
