How to Use a Museum Pass
Available to anyone over the age of 18 with a valid, unexpired HHH district resident adult library card. If you have any questions, please call 631-421-4530.
We offer four types of passes & tickets:
- Print-On-Demand (POD) Passes: Reserve an online pass to a museum in advance through our website and print it from any computer.
- Pick Up Passes: Reserve a museum pass in advance through our website and pick up at the Dix Hills building.
- Discounted Tickets: Call for availability. Purchase tickets through the library to popular attractions at a discounted rate.
- Codes: Call for availability. Receive a special code from the library to get a discount when purchasing tickets from the venue.
Guidelines for All Passes
- Museum passes are available to Half Hollow Hills Community Library patrons who are over the age of 18 and in good standing only. Local Use Only library card holders are not permitted to borrow museum passes.
- Museum Passes are limited to one pass per household, not per patron.
- Patrons are to reserve museum passes on the library website, hhhlibrary.org, and must agree to the guidelines.
- Patrons will not be allowed to reserve a pass if they have fines or expired library cards.
- Passes may be reserved online up to 60 days in advance.
- Patrons can have up to two passes reserved on their library card at any given time, as long as the reservations are for different museums.
- Only one museum pass can be reserved per day.
- Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours in advance of use.
- Failure to pick up a reserved pass or cancelling a reservation less than 48 hours prior to the date of use is considered a “no-show”. Two “no-shows” within 60 days result in the cardholder's reservation privileges being suspended 60 days from the last “no-show” date.
- Each museum reserves the right to determine the rules and regulations governing the use of the museum pass.
- Patrons are responsible for checking with the museum to confirm the most current hours/holiday closings before making a reservation and prior to their visit.
- Museums may require you to show your Half Hollow Hills Community Library card and/or photo ID at the time of visit.
- Name on the ID must match the name on the reservation.
Print-On-Demand (POD) Pass Guidelines
- Reserve a pass for the date of your museum visit on the library website, hhhlibrary.org.
- Print the pass from home or at the library.
- Passes are only valid for the date of the visit listed on the pass.
Pick Up Pass Guidelines
- Reserve a pass for the date of your museum visit on the library website.
- Reserved passes are available for pick-up the day before your visit, after 3 PM.
- Return the pass before 11 AM, or you will incur a late fee. (If the return date falls on a Sunday, the pass is due at 12:15 PM.)
- The penalty for a late pass is $20/day.
- The penalty for a lost pass is the full value of the membership pass.
- Passes are only available for pick-up and return at our Dix Hills location.
- Passes cannot be placed in the book drop.
- If a pass is returned late or lost by the previous user, upcoming reservations cannot be honored.
- The library is not responsible for the pick-up or return of passes when the library is closed or for an emergency closing.
Discounted Tickets
- Available for purchase at the Public Service Desk at both Dix Hills & Melville.
- Valid Half Hollow Hills Community Library card required.
- While supplies last. All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.

Codes

- Patrons pay the venue using a discount code provided by the library. You must visit the venue website to complete your purchase using the code.
