"This historical romantic novel is a prequel for the Bridgerton Series. The year was 1779, Derbyshire, England. Cecilia Harcourt had recently lost her father. Her brother who was an officer in the army was stationed in New York City hadn’t been heard from in quite a long time. Cecilia didn’t like being alone in their big house. If her brother didn’t come home, the estate would pass to a cousin. She decides to board a ship going to NYC to find her brother. She doesn’t find her brother but finds his best friend in a hospital.
