Did you know that in April of 1845, the Long Island Whaleship Manhattan became the first American ship to enter Japan's waters in over 200 years? Celebrate America’s enduring appreciation of Japanese artistry by creating an ocean inspired origami scene. District Residents Only.

Please abide by the age and grade restrictions. Programs may be photographed/videotaped for library publicity. Notify library staff if you prefer not to have your child or yourself photographed.
