  • Spray foam insulation was installed in the Melville attic. The insulation will save approximately 30% or more in heating and air conditioning costs.
  • Lead testing was completed at both facilities in accordance with NY State and EPA guidelines. All potable water sources were tested and passed.
  • The Melville parking lot was seal coated and potholes were repaired.
  • Emergency exit door on the East side of the Melville building was replaced.
  • Carbon monoxide detectors were installed in both buildings in accordance with NY State Fire Code.
  • The Dix Hills meeting room partition wall was repaired and serviced.
  • New tables and chairs were purchased for Melville to match the existing furniture.
  • Patron counting software was purchased and the information is now stored and available to staff online.
  • New 2016 Toyota Sienna was purchased on NY State Contract.
  • New planter boxes were purchased and installed at Melville and two large cedar boxes were donated to Dix Hills by Wade Associates Landscaping.
