COVID-19 Update

The Library has been closely monitoring the developments pertaining to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic and are taking action based on guidance from public health experts.  To help ensure the safety and well-being of our patrons and staff we will be cancelling all programs, events, meeting room bookings and community outreach beginning Friday, March 13 at 5 pm through Tuesday, March 31. We will reassess the situation towards the end of the month.

At this time, both library buildings remain open for regular hours. However, please continue to check our website and social media for updates.

While we have always placed a high priority on cleanliness and hygiene, we continue to take common sense, proactive precautionary measures by heightening our cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces such as desks, keyboards, doorknobs, and railings. We ask that people who aren’t feeling well to stay at home, and we encourage everyone to make hand washing a healthy habit by following the guidelines from the CDC. Out of an abundance of caution, we have also removed the toys and puzzles from our Children’s Library.

We are keeping abreast of the situation day-by-day and will continue to closely monitor the guidance provided by the CDC and New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). We are sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this decision may bring but we will work to reschedule any missed events where possible or issue a refund.
