Welcome Tea for New Library Director
Sunday, March 15, 1-2 pm (DH)
(Snow date: Sunday, March 22, 1-2 pm)
Meet Helen Crosson. She is excited to be here and looks forward to meeting you.
The Trustees of the Half Hollow Hills Community Library are pleased to announce the appointment of Helen M. Crosson as our new Library Director. Helen will join the HHHCL staff on January 12.
A resident of Oyster Bay, Helen will be coming to us from the Cold Spring Harbor Library, where she has served as Director since 1999. Under her energetic and innovative leadership, that library moved from a 7,000-square-foot space in a rented school building to a new 27,000-square-foot building on New York State parkland overlooking Cold Spring Harbor. Before working at the CSH Library, Helen spent 11 years at the Great Neck Library, where she served as a reference librarian, network administrator and Internet trainer.
Helen is a graduate of Siena College and earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree at the State University of New York at Albany. She also received a Master of Public Administration degree from C.W. Post.
Helen's many community activities include service on the Leadership Huntington Foundation.
We look forward to welcoming Helen to Half Hollow Hills in January and we know that Helen looks forward to meeting you all.
