Libraries Offer Free Services to All
There are three county law libraries that are open to the public and provide a number of free services.

The Nassau County Supreme Court Library is open to the public and has five public computers with access to the internet, Lexis, and several Do-It-Yourself forms. Photocopy machines are available at .10 cents a page. In addition, the library has a public access digital scanner.

Co-located within the library is the Court Information Center. The staff in this office can answer procedural questions, provide sample court forms, and instructional packets. They can be reached at (516) 571-3291.

There are two law libraries in Suffolk County that are also open to the public and provide free services, including the Library Resources for the Public Program (LRPP). They are as follows:

The LRPP is available to provide free general information about court procedural steps. Located inside the Supreme Court Law Library, in both Central Islip and Riverhead, the public has available for their use computers with internet access and printers, as well as personnel who can assist and provide legal resources for researching your case. Both libraries offer free access to Lexis along with N.Y.S. and Federal hard copy collections. Photocopy machines are available for .10 cents a page. The LRPP is currently a walk-in service, however, appointments are preferred and may be scheduled by calling the appropriate telephone number listed above.
